Unbelievable for the money

A very solid guitar with an unexpectedly amazing feature at such a price :

The neck.
This guitar has a smooth-finish neck! It is not a bare-wood finish, as there is still a plastic finish to the neck, but Ibanez have applied some sort of additional special step to manufacturing that means you end up with a smooth, non-sticky/tacky/glossy neck. I can't stand glossy guitar necks due to the inherent stickiness and friction they create, to the point where I sanded my last guitar neck down with sandpaper to remove the glossy plastic; but with this guitar, no such effort was needed.

The rest of the guitar is also of fitting quality; the headstock has string trees! Such a small detail on a budget guitar is great to see.

Pickups are good and solid; the 5-way switch produces noticeable changes in tone when you cycle between the pickup combinations, and the tone/volume pots both work as expected. Guitar jack port is also sturdy.

The guitar front finish isn't quite as fantastic as made out in the pictures, but still looks good.

Overall, a fantastic guitar for the price; would recommend most for a beginner.

Superb

Guitar came ready to play straight out of the box. All I had to do was tune it, and once in tune, it stayed there.
The finish on the guitar is very good. Considering the price, the standard of the pick ups and furniture is exceptional.
The best thing about this guitar is the ease of playing due to the super slick thin neck.
This guitar would be ideal for any guitar player looking for a variety of sound styles
achievable through the 5 position pick up selector.
All in all a superb guitar for the money.
