Definieren sie Rock!

Was im Real Book die wunderbaren Jazz-Klassiker ausmacht, im Real Blues Book die fantastischen Blues-Klassiker, das macht im Real Rock Book?
Ja genau, was eigtl.?
Bis auf ein paar legendäre Songs, wie Smoke on the Water, More than a Feeling oder auch Cocaine, findet man dort überwiegend sehr poppiges Material.
Und was z.B. Ain't no Sunshine, Candle in the Wind oder Fever (was ja allesamt großartige Nummern sind) mit ''Rock'' zu tun haben, möchte ich gerne mal erklärt bekommen.
Irgendwer hat den, ohnehin schon schwammigen, Begriff Rock mal mit der Verwendung von ver- oder angezerrten E-Gitarren assoziiert.
Man kann sich natürlich ausgiebig darüber unterhalten, was denn Rock nun eigtl. ist.
Aber Leute: Tears in Heaven und Sweet Dreams gehören definitiv nicht dazu. (Ausser Manson covert ihn :D )
Man findet ja auch keinen Billy Talent Song im normalen Real Book...
Fazit:
So ziemlich alle Real Books sind einfach Mega. Ich feiere die Songauswahl und vor allem das herrliche Layout.
Da macht Notenlesen Spaß. Was die Herren Hal Leonard allerdings beim Real Rock Book geraucht haben?

Pour ceux qui ne connaissent pas c'est très simple : Grille d'accord + mélodie et le tour est joué, c'est sans fioriture et s'adresse plutôt à des musiciens confirmés !
