Guild M-140 Westerly

I like the size of this guitar and the sound isn't bad, but some notes sounded louder and heavier than others, particularly the B and C in the low octave.
The high notes are nice and clear. The sound is slightly boxy, however still a pleasant sound.
If it wasn't for the bad sounding B and C notes, I would consider it a nice guitar.
I returned it and bought a Furch OM-22-SR instead. The Furch is twice the price, but in my opinion, the Furch is much better value for money than the Guild.

Ich bin eigentlich E-Gitarren Spieler, trete aber gelegentlich mit meiner Band in einer extrem kleinen und engen Location mit akustischer Gitarre auf. Da hier auch Gäste und Bedienungspersonal in den Pausen über die Bühne laufen machte ich mir immer Sorgen um meine teure Santa Cruz OM. Für solche Gigs habe ich mir die Guild M-140 Westerly zugelegt.
Entscheidungshilfen waren für mich der kleine Korpus, da ich als E-Spieler diese riesigen Jumbos etc. nicht mag, die kurze 628mm Mensur und das relativ breite Griffbrett mit 46mm am Sattel. Was aus der Produktbeschreibung nicht hervorgeht ist der 22,5 mm dicke Hals, der schon fast an eine Konzertgitarre erinnert.
Die Gitarre ist tadellos verarbeitet, die Mechaniken funktionieren sauber, die Einstellungen sind in Ordnung und ein Case ist auch dabei. Der Sound ist trotz des kleinen Korpus kräftig und klar, im Bassbereich halt etwas zurückhaltend.
Meine Erwartungen sind damit erfüllt und ich kann sie als Gitarre mit einem guten Preis/Leistungsverhältnis empfehlen.

Es la 2ªacústica que tengo que tengo. Empecé con una Baby Taylor de la que no me pienso desprender nunca. Ésta sigue el mismo camino pero de un nivel obviamente superior.
Dá igual dónde las hagan si las hacen bien. La marca ofrece garantías. El resultado en general es muy bueno y lo más importante es que el sonido te seduzca.
En principio a mi particularmente se me hacía un poco dura. Puse unas cuerdas elixir del mismo calibre pues me gustan más y me mejoró. La encuentro un poco más suave ahora. la construcción es impecable. y el sonido tb. Por ponerle alguna pega la cejilla es un poco puntiaguda en los extremos y los trastes también en los extremos piden un poco más de fineza en el acabado pero eso es algo que se puede solucionar aprovechando un cambio de cuerdas. La cejilla y la selleta no me parece que sean de hueso. Lo comprobaré cuando la lime un poco para suavizar las puntas. Pero no voy a cambiar la guitarra por eso. ¡Ni de coña!.
Así pues a pesar de estos posibles defectos pienso que las virtudes compensan y en general estoy muy satisfecho de la compra.
