More than does the job for most reasonable tasks!
Daniel LP 30.10.2019
I primarily use this to hold a snare mic (Beyer M201 mostly), a job which it carries out admirably. It also handles other strange random tasks I throw at it (as a stand for a drum practice pad, or for film lighting diffusion gels) without issue. The colour-coded bands are a very nice touch.
When a tighter/stronger grip is required, it does get a little fiddly to tighten down the main vertical section, but even when throwing heavy "Source 4" par can lights on it, it doesn't budge.
The big round rubber tightening knob is very ergonomic, and doesn't break your hands like the more common "t-bar" design.

My favourite stand
TSaunter 11.04.2018
Great mic stand, well designed and well built. it has a great range and stability. I mainly use it for amps and kit and haven't had any issues so far. The grips are all great and the stand feels stable with a range of heavier mic's

Good value for money
slimcadie1 13.02.2019
I didn't need an expensive, heavy duty stand for micing lower parts of drum kits, seated guitarists or amps in the studio - just something reasonably stable and reliable. - This does the job nicely and looks cool too. I have two and they have never let me down. The grip can hold an AKG D112 at full extent without sagging. Anything heavier than that might over-balance the feet. I'd buy them again for this purpose if I needed more at any point.

B
instrument mic stand
Bowman 05.03.2019
I use this to mic/record strings. Perfect height for cello/bass.

Well constructed and doesn't droop or loosen even with heavy mics.

Nice small and neat and comes with me everywhere I want to record.

I subsequently bought the larger version based on my experience with this stand.

I would buy another Gravity stand.
