My Classic Vibe Strat had less attack at the 3rd and 4th strings because they lacked slope at the headstock, it had only one nickel-plated string tree on the 1st and 2nd strings. So, first I removed the Göldo's gold plating with a steel brush to expose the nickel plating under the gold.
The Göldo tree is only for 1st and 2nd strings, it's a bit short for the 3rd and 4th strings.
I found a longer screw, and a miniature washer; I piled it on the Göldo cylinder to obtain the right height. The four thinner strings need to have the same slope as the 5th string; the 6th has more slope because it's thicker and has less tension.
I polished and oiled the grooves under the tree so the strings would slide during bends and tremolos. Now it doesn't look at all like the tree was added, and the attack is the same on all strings (after a little rectifying with the saddle screws, too).
I give it five stars for quality because it will do its job forever and looks good, but only four stars overall because the package should include a longer screw and a longer cylinder for the middle strings. Nice that it's gold-plated, you have a choice of colors if you brush the gold away.
