A few tweaks from perfection
Anonymous 06.03.2016
Pro's:
- Well made. High quality build.
- Luxuriant inner, if you were small enough it would be nice to sleep in.
- Carries two basses of all lengths, with ease.

Minor gripe:
The fleece lined ipad / tablet holder is not removable and wastes space. It ONLY fits a tablet, so if you don't use one, it's redundant.

Major Issue for public transport giggers;
Shoulder straps fix onto the case with large carabiner clips (allowing you to adjust the height the case sits on your back). These metal clips sit right on your shoulder line, and with the weight of two basses digging in, you wouldn't want to spend much time with this on your back. (Mono do this SO much better by stitching fixed anchor points)

Given 2 basses usually means important gig, you're generally going by car, so this might not be an issue for most.

Next to my (single) Mono Vertigo, I prefer Gator's interior, and the additional storage. The Shoulder strap issue means I'll continue committing the Mono when carrying 1 bass.

H
Problem solved!
Hankmeister 07.01.2025
I regularly have to transport two bases, one of which has a hard case that, owing to its shape, simply doesn't fit very easily into my car. Also, carrying two instruments separately occupies both hands during carry-in/out. I wanted something to make transporting my instruments easier, but at the same time provides good protection. I'm careful with my gear at all times, but still, accidents happen!

This twin bass bag is both efficient and effective. It provides good protection while conveniently housing two instruments. This makes my carry-in/out at gigs that bit easier and, more often than not, achievable in one trip to or from the car. It has sufficient additional pockets for my iPad/folder of charts, several cables, IEMs, and other tools of the trade. It also fits into my car easily.

Build quality is excellent, with good thick fabric, heavy duty zips, high resistance padding, and a kitten soft interior. Although it isn't completely rigid, it maintains its shape very well; so much so that it had to be transported in a rather large box as folding or squashing, even when empty, simply isn't possible. While it obviously isn't totally impermeable, it provides excellent weather protection.

My only cautionary comment (not really a negative, as a decent case for two instruments isn't ever going to be either small or light) is that if you are considering this item please be aware that the case is bulky and, when packed with two instruments, rather heavy! Great for relatively short trips, but I wouldn't want to walk across town carrying it.

P
I was lookin for a safe way to travel with two basses .. and I found it

I was lookin for a safe way to travel with two basses .. and I found it

I must say I'm satisfied with this gig bag It's well builded the padding inside makes it very resistant, velvet super soft interior, water proof exterior and heavy duty zippers are just amazing and its not just that!
but the most important part for me was the handling bars and the straps, and I'm impressed with the good quality sewing and mats!
the only thing I have to say on this gig beside the clear heavy duty of it is that it weights kinda a lot, it's around 5kg empty, I have 6 string and a Marcus Miller both weights around 5kg each so it adds up to a whipping 15kg/17kg + bass head, jacks and whatnot I go around the 20kgs which for me It's ok but might be too much for someone else!
beside the wight I'm very happy with it now I can fly with a bit more of peace of mind

L
Fantastic Dual Bass gig bag
LPKM1 29.05.2024
I Have researched in detail for a safe product to carry any 2 of my 5 quality Basses.
Narrowed it down to 2 brands .
I was looking at padding /practically /design /durability and of course £££ cost !

The other bag ( if you are a serious / pro Musician you will know the Brand) was very good indeed…. And if I’m honest , I was seriously considering it… as a few of my Pro musicians friends have them !

But when I saw this Gator Bag and checked over ALL the criteria that was important , it came out as the best purchase….
Lightweight but very durable and a considerably more cost effective purchase…then other big names in the industry ( if you know ..you know) !!

It has super padded storage pockets for most accessories /leads/ Tablet etc… and you will feel confident in most if not all cargo / transportation situations…

A magnificent purchase at the price point - great value for money…!
