Noticeably better

Not much to say on quality besides that it feels very premium and well made. They look and feel fantastic as well.

They might not be the best locking tuners out there but they made a good bit of difference in how good my guitar stays in tune (especially after big bends) and my string changing time.

It's incredibly easy to install, a cro-magnon could do it. Fits right on to the strat head no drilling necessary.

10/10 would do again.

Replaced old tuners
Andrei M. 28.12.2023
I bought these to replace the tuners on my American Special Telecaster. The tuners were the standard version and one faithful day I noticed one of them wiggling when I tuned my guitar. Upon further investigation somehow 3 of the 6 tuners were basically snapped in half. So this was my choice for a replacement.

These are some very solid tuners that I would recommend. However a small gripe with them is that they are a bit expensive for how they feel. My cheaper Yamaha Pacifica 611 has Grover Tuners and I have to say I still prefer those over these.

Not to say that they are bad. The ratio is great so tuning is precise. Locking tuners are way better than regular tuners in my opinion. Guitar barely goes out of tune now. And they look pretty sleek. Brought life back to my guitar.

I would recommend these these as they fit perfectly on a telecaster. Holes line up so no need to worry about drilling your guitar and also they are staggered so that's just even better!

Excellent

I was hesitant in buying these particular tuners as I couldn't find any reviews for this model, only the strat-style buttons, which I believe are an older product.

I needn't have worried, however. These were a direct fit replacement on my Mexican strat and it was the easiest upgrade I've ever done. They look perfect, and are a high shine chrome, which was just what I wanted.

As tuners, they are certainly an upgrade over the stock Fender tuners that came on the Strat. Hold time noticeably better both for general use and for a bit of extended whammy playing. They're not a replacement for a full locking system at the bridge and nut, of course, but do not come with the disadvantages of those systems. They are a worthy compromise on this front.

The best thing about locking tuners generally is the ease of changing strings. There is no need to wrap strings around the post, merely insert the string through, tighten the clamp, and tune up. These are no exception, and the parts are sturdy and effective.

I would absolutely recommend these and can think of no disadvantage in using these as an upgrade over stock nonlocking options.

1 of the bolts that you screw in broke inside with a standard small wrench and hand / finger strength, so I have 5 Fender locking heads and 1 no brand non locking head at the moment. One of the Fender heads had some filth on it and another has damage on the logo.
Of the ones that didnt break, they feel and look nice.
