K
Might as well use a capo
Kikodasneves 19.03.2024
I bought this to help mitigate my bass’ dead spot. It helped but then I realised I could just affix a capo on the headstock and have the same result without it looking so ugly so I sent this back. Try your capos before buying this.

Good accessory!
trident 14.07.2020
Was a little bit sceptic but this accessory really ads a little bit of oomph to the guitar's tone. It enhances the lows and ads a little bit of stability to the guitar's timbre and tone. Did some A/B tests to figure that out. So if you have a guitar that tends to sound dry and unfocused, then you found a nice solution to it in the Fender FatFinger. Sounds even more obvious when recorded. Definitely recommend buying one, think of it as a capo or slider in your accessory kit that is good when you need to enhance the tone of the guitar. Cheers!

A
Fatfinger by Fender
AlanM 29.05.2013
To be honest i didn't really notice any difference using the Fatfinger. I tried it on my Mexican Strat and American Tele (both with Kinman pickups) and an expensive acoustic (Moon RD3) and a cheap nylon string acoustic. This is not to say that it doesn't work .. i think the theory behind it is good. I'm hopeful it may prove itself in the future and i'll continue to try it out.

Gives a little more sustain and takes out deadnotes
stopolos 02.05.2019
Mounted this clamp on my Fender JB. It is heavy and thus makes the bass feel neck-heavy. Very easy to mount on the headstock.
The advantage of this device is that it improves the overall sustain by 10-15%. It also makes eventual dead notes (tones) sound more like the rest of the neck.
