A
All one can wish for from a drum head
Anonymous 20.07.2016
I use the EMAD2 mainly for recording the bass drum in my studio but occasionally also for live shows and the results are fantastic - the sound is powerful and punchy with lots of meaty low end and great attack. I have used it on different genres - rock, punk rock, folk, hip-hop - having tried many bass drum heads before, the Evans EMAD2 has become my go-to product. The included muffling rings provide great versatility for shaping the tone. The head has proven to be very durable and retains its tone for a long time. I highly recommend this bass drum head, great value for money. It has not let me down once - just recently ordered two more to add to the studio drum head shelf.

LF
FAT bass drum sound
Loki Fine 31.10.2021
My 24" bass drum sounds fantastic with the Evans EMAD2! Don't know what is sounds like with other sizes, but I can't imagine it being worse. My bass drum sounds really fat and with short sustain, which is exactly what I like in a bass drum sound. It might seem a bit pricey for a drum head, which is what I thought at first. But it's absolutely worth it! The quality is fantasic. After using it for a bit over a month, it still looks new. As I said, it of course sounds great with short sustain. And if you want a bit more longer sustain, you can adjust the sound with the dampening rings that come with the drum head or remove them completely. I can guarantee that I will buy this again in the future!

SW
Best bass drum head out there!
Stephen Watters 20.05.2013
This head has it all! Have it with no muffling for that wide open bass sound or the thinner damping ring for a less sustaining bass drum sound that is perfect for pop and softer songs. Or... put the the thickest damping ring for attack that will please even the toughest of metal heads! Amazing sounding head that can do basically everything! (Apart from play itself obviously!) You will not be disappointed with this head.

Dickes Kino. Ganz dickes Kino.
