I’ve always loved the simplicity and raw power of single-pickup guitars, and the SG Junior is one of the most iconic designs. Since Gibson isn’t currently offering a single-P90 SG Junior, I decided to pick up the Epiphone YUNGBLUD SG Junior CW—and I have to say, it’s a fantastic alternative.For anyone looking for a Gibson-style SG Junior without the high price tag, this is a great option. It’s lightweight, fun to play, and delivers that pure P-90 tone in a no-frills package. While the wraparound bridge might not be for everyone, it’s part of the Junior’s charm, and it keeps the design simple and resonant.

Would I prefer a Gibson version? Sure. But since they don’t make one right now, this Epiphone is a worthy alternative.
