Tried others, these still best
NiceBenton 14.03.2020
Losing picks or not having them handy is a thing. Every one of my basses or guitars has these pick holders. I have tried other brands, models, even foam ones, or placing picks between three strings or behind pickguard but all those options are no bueno. These Dunlop brand ones have been produced since the 80s? maybe longer. They seem to last indefinitely.

Being black means there is always some part on your guitar where they can be stuck, out of the way yet easy to grab or put back your pick, fast, I like behind my headstock. They will hold 3 to 6 ish picks, depending on thickness of picks. Unlike other models, they fit almost any size and style of pick.

The 3M? glue is very strong but doesn't leave damage and it has a thin layer of springy foam, which helps with staying put and placement. While I always carry picks in my wallet, I would really rather never not have this specific pickholder as well. Especially if you have nice or really preferred picks, it will save you money by making sure you never lose one.

Very versatile pickholder
matt-h 21.04.2018
Even though it is versatile I don't think it is for the back of the headstock as it is quite big and the glue could leave some stains on it (even though easily removable). But I didn't by this to put it onto my guitar anyway. The tape is strong enough that you can put it anywhere and because of it is so big you can easily put any pick into this. If you're using really small picks you might find it a little bit awkward to use it. Nonetheless it is a really great pickholder and you can't go wrong with it.

I
A must for every gigging guitarist/bassist
InfectedSyren 06.03.2018
I'm a gigging musician and I have a Dunlop Pickholder in all my guitars. I play in a rock/metal band and I tend to move around and sweat a lot on stage and tend to drop picks at shows. I used to have a mic stand pickholder but I find it much easier to reach at the back of the guitar headstock and quickly grab a pick rather than reach at the mic stand. I might not even be near the mic stand when I drop the pick. I even have Dunlop pickholders on my guitars I don't gig and use at home. I never have to look for a pick, I always know I can find one at the back of any guitar . If you try to take it off you will probably be left with some of the sticky tape on the back of your headstock, happened to me once. This can be easily removed though. I have a Dunlop pickholder on more than 10 guitars and have never had any problems whatsoever.

Stores all my thinner picks
loonyduck1 10.01.2022
I've got this stuck on my Scarlett 2i2 to store any of my thinner picks. Normally I use 2mm picks which are too big to fit a reasonable amount of in this, but for any other picks like most people would use it's fantastic, great for backups.
