A very unusual instrument part way between lap steel and pedal steel, more versatile than the former, and easier to move around (and much easier to play) than the latter!
Only alternatives are custom built instruments, which are even more expensive that this one!
Very well made ( as are most of Duesenberg's Guitars) and incorporating some neat ideas but still pretty expensive for what it is, but there aren't many alternatives!
Arrived very quickly in perfect condition, accompanied by the case in a separate box !

We have had other sliders as a sort of warm up. Now having got good at it (in our opinion) we wanted something better. Deep breath, but we knew the reputation was good and talked to some of our friends about the Duse. It arrived and exceeded our expectations. Stable, comfortable to play, great great sound and the adjustable capo is great. This one is a keeper.

Elektrische Lapsteels wirken ja oft etwas unterbelichtet, einfach gebaut, meist nur ein Tonabnehmer, etc. Die Fairytale ist da ganz aus anderem Holz geschnitzt. Nein, sie ist eigentlich eine Fee unter den Schossgitarren.
Ein vollwertiges Instrument mit zwei tollen PU's, sauberst verarbeitet, klingt voll und punchig aber nie harsch.
Der integrierte Capo ist ein weiterer Clou. Die Details stimmen auch, so gibt es zwei Moosgummistreifen auf der Rückseite gegen ungewolltes Verrutschen auf dem Lap.
Aber der Hauptclou ist der Multibender.
Damit lassen sich pedalsteelartige Sounds erzeugen und der stimmliche Umfang einer Sixstring Lap gut erweitern. Ich habe gleich noch einen dritten Hebel geordert.
Es braucht etwas Übung, mit den Hebeln sauber zu arbeiten. aber das ganze System ist wie die Gitarre selbst sehr gut durchdacht.
Also Cowboys, zieht eure Steels zum Lapsteel-Duell.

Electric lap steels often seem a bit underexposed, simply built, usually only one pickup, etc. The Fairytale is made of completely different stuff. No, she's actually a fairy among the lap guitars. A fully-fledged instrument with two great PUs, cleanly crafted, sounds full and punchy but never harsh. The integrated capo is another highlight. The details are also right, so there are two foam rubber strips on the back to prevent unwanted slipping on the lap. But the main highlight is the multibender. This can be used to create pedal steel-like sounds and expand the vocal range of a six-string lap. I immediately ordered a third lever. It takes some practice to work properly with the levers. but the whole system, like the guitar itself, is very well thought out. So cowboys, pull out your steels for the lap steel duel.

Jsem velmi spokojený se zvukem i zpracováním.
Pou¸ívám ji v hudb? Rock-country. Výhodou je osazení dv?mi sníma?i (singl a humbacker) a skv?lá multibender mechanika.
Nevýhodou je, ¸e v cen? není pevný obal a je nutné jej objednat samostatn?.
