The Botex Power Splitter 32-2 is a power distributor for indoor use that, thanks to the M10 screw threads located on each side, is suitable for flying attachment to trusses as well as for truss mounting using half couplers. With its 32A CEE inputs and outputs, the splitter can be seamlessly integrated into existing heavy-current plug connections and can also be loaded with up to 16A, distributing the incoming heavy current to six protective contact sockets, all of which are equipped with a hinged lid and protected by a separate circuit breaker. The three LEDs allow the user to check separately for all three power phases if they are carrying any electrical voltage. A global residual-current circuit breaker designed for 40A ensures high operational safety.
The Botex Power Splitter 32-2 has a 32A CEE input, which - as its red colour suggests - is designed for three-phase AC voltages of 380V to 480V. Thanks to the separate fuse protection provided for each of the earthed safety sockets, the power supply to the remaining sockets will not drop out if one of them trips, so users can be sure that the devices connected to the splitter are not all suddenly going to fail in the middle of an event. In addition, the Botex Power Splitter 32-2 features two metal brackets which ensure that it can be transported easily and that the elements on the top are protected against interference from the sides. And if it is installed on the floor, its four rubber feet will prevent the power distributor from slipping on smooth surfaces.
PA operators and event organisers will obviously appreciate the safeguard that the Botex Power Splitter 32-2 provides, but they are not the only ones: Those who are new to or unfamiliar with this kind of technology can also use it with complete confidence. This is mainly thanks to the corresponding VDE standard, which guarantees that the device has overcurrent protection circuits that are independent of the mains voltage, meaning that not only professionals but also hobby bands, solo entertainers, and DJs can set up mobile sound and lighting systems at professional venues. Thanks to the circuit breakers on the distributor, they know that their equipment is always in safe hands - and also safely connected.
Thomann’s in-house brand Botex has been part of the company’s product range since 1995 and includes around 100 products that are principally aimed at event organisers, concert hall owners, and PA rental companies and deliver an excellent price-performance ratio. Botex offers innovative, high-quality products at very competitive prices, including dimmers, DMX lighting desks, DMX recorders, interfaces and nodes, power distributors, LED strips, and wireless DMX/radio DMX systems.
Event organisers who want to effortlessly provide user-friendly protective contact sockets at individual nodes in an existing power supply setup should definitely take a closer look at the Botex Power Splitter 32-2 power distributor. The same goes for lighting engineers who want to easily integrate small mobile systems into a fixed installation in event locations, for example for large weddings or marquees. Since the Botex Power Splitter can be used as a sub-distributor for up to six hungry load lines, it can be used to supply not only a mobile PA system but also, for example, a small lighting system including strobes, fog machines, and other power-intensive devices with the appropriate voltage from one central location. When used at trade shows, the Power Splitter can thus provide additional earthed sockets with a high degree of operational safety, without the need for complex rewiring or additional power lines.
