- Boomwhackers haben einen kurzen percussiven Ton, mit dem verschiedene Rhythmen umgesetzt werden können. Einhändiges und beidhändiges Spiel ist möglich. Hier müssen die entsprechenden Kombinationen an Tonhöhen erprobt werden. (z. B. C# - F#, oder C# -Bb) Sie sind auch als Ersatz für Schlegel verwendbar.
- Klangexperimente mit „Konsonanzgarantie“ sind vor allem in diesem pentatonischen Satz (Schwarze Klaviertastatur) möglich.
- Mit Boomwhackers sind Melodien spielbar! Der kurze Ton ermöglicht eine neue Wahrnehmung der Melodielinie.
Das Ganze bekommt man für kleines Geld: Das freut auch den klammen Jahresetat für Instrumente.
Die Anschaffung eines kompletten Satzes (diatonisch / pentatonisch) und ein paar Oktavkappen (Oktavierung nach unten) ist nicht nur ratsam, sondern auch bezahlbar.
