Just wanted a mic for the congas in church. So i saw these ones and gave it a test. Doesn't come with mounts/clamps so i taped it around the congas tension rods, It use to make some click sound each and every time i begin to play the conga but when i put some pads on it from the mixer it stopped. For me the sound is OKAY. i recorded into my Garageband and sounds good. I did recommend esp. for conags, but not for the highly demanding musician out there.

I have the Behringer CB 100 in front of me compared to the t.bone Ovid System CC100. The background noise on the Behringer is significantly (!) worse. So the article is going straight back in the mail.

I bought this microphone to put it in the sound box of my Celtic harp, it works great, it is very sensitive. Be careful, it needs "phantom power", I have it on the mixer, it's a function, others may have that on the sound card. It stands alone thanks to its shape. I recommend.

Lieber die OVID-Mikros!Better the OVID microphones!

I kept it and will see if it can be used for brass instruments. I can well imagine. So it just sounds a bit dull (which can sometimes make sense with brass or sax...) and has more noise than the OVID. The construction is great, I really like the design.
