ABM 5050-V Vintage Tremolo

I've used all sorts of trems over the years, Floyd Rose, Kahler, VIntage and modern Fender (six screw and two pin) even in recent years a Bladerunner so therefore feel able to offer an experienced opinion, if only a personal opinion regarding the overall feel, which is very important to me and is why I don't like locking Trem systems (even though they offer the best tuning stability) but as for the feel and sustain factor, feel convinced that 'IF' you play Stratocasters then the six screw system is by far the best even though it is by far the most problematical where tuning stability is concerned. Locking Terms spoil the feel of an old Strat whereas the modern two post trems just don't sound right if you are a fussy old bloke as I am. This is the best 6 screw type I have ever used, it's of top quality, sounds and feels great etc and is MUCH better than the cheap things chucked onto Fenders. Well worth the money, is easy to fit - ignore the 4 star review as I can't give it the 4.8 stars it deserves.

I installed this just because I wanted to get rid of the original trem bar wobble, not believing that the guitar's response will be different in any other way. I installed a Callaham on another Strat in the past and saw no difference, so I wasn't expecting anything tone-wise. I was surprised to realise that the guitar sounds strattier and more lively now. The attack has changed drammatically. No exaggerations here, I remind you, I was expecting no such difference. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Very good quality product.I was a little sceptical but after instalation I realised-it works-it is a remedy,if you have any mechanical or tonal problems with your stratocaster.But do not expect any alteration in your sound-your guitar will sound different,better than before,but still DIFFERENT.I can say only-my old strat sounds better,notes became more separated,but nasal strattiness,glassiness is gone.If you are looking for good quality tremolo without any problems(sitar effect,tuning/pitch problems)-it is your way to go.If you are looking for strat vibe(50's/60's sound),it is not for you,keep your zinc block and change saddles.

Si comme moi vous possédez une Strato Série L (années 65), pas de souci. Les côtes précises figurent sur le descriptif du chevalet, donc pas de doute. Mais... contrôlez attentivement la visserie des pontets ! J'ai dû avoir recours à un artisan pour refaire 4 filetages, les vis étant incompatibles et engagées en force au montage. Une fois réparé, l'ABM 5050 remplit parfaitement sa fonction.
