YAMAHA quality at an affordable price!

Are you a drummer looking for a reliable, durable, first single pedal? Are you trying to find a pedal with a footboard that doesn't feel that short under your little over-sized foot? Well, you can stop here. With this product, YAMAHA has made high-end quality pedals accessible to those who don't have hundreds of euros to spend for a single pedal, yet maintaing all the features that have made this brand a standard in quality over the years. This pedal features a long footboard, long enough to accomodate bigger feet, is driven by a smooth, silent belt drive and gives the user the chance to adjust the beater angle. It has a right sided bass drum hoop clamp mechanism that allows for easy set up, with no need to reach under the pedal for the scope. The beater is the YAMAHA standard hard felt round beater that has been featured in many of their pedals. Finally, the price: being sold for less than 150 ¤, the quality/price ratio is incredible: this is a pedal worth far more than its price, and I personally remember pedals like this being sold for more than 200 bucks, even from the same brand. So, if you are looking for a first reliable and durable single pedal that will serve you honestly for quite a long time, you should seriously consider this one! And thanks YAMAHA for making it happen!

An understated classic

I've had this pedal for a few years, playing pop, jazz, big band. My pedal technique is intermediate/advanced, and I own other pedals.
Pros: beautifully balanced & responsive; long & smooth footboard facilitates advanced foot techniques; simple high quality design and build.
Cons: no spikes, only one beater surface, probably less suitable for heavy thrashers.
