Budget bass strings that do the job
Anonymous 26.02.2016
Yes, there are probably much better / nicer bass strings out there, but if you're struggling with the higher price tags of other sets, then these will do the job just fine and at a smidge of the cost.
I don't play bass much, but I have a bass knocking about that I use from time to time and I wanted some strings I could bang on it and forget about. These did the trick nicely.
Although they don't retain their brightness for as long as some other strings, this has never been a problem for me - at this price, one can get a few sets and change strings more regularly, rather than the old-school boiling of expensive strings in an attempt to get the brightness back.

I have discovered this strings by accident and after purchase I have found out that after 1 year of playing they are still sounds fresh like a new. Highly recommended. I play bass with pick in punk rock band.

It depends on your taste...
LoTone 19.08.2014
These strings are very cheap. First choice, if you are on a budget. I just wanted to give them a try and experience what I would get for my money.
I had no problems putting them on my bass, quality seems okay to me. But already then I noticed the scratchy surface of the strings. I also had no problems while tuning them. Everything's fine.
The Warwicks provide a very brilliant sound, aggressive highs, especially when played with a pick. The low end is okay. So all in all the sound is not bad.
The downside is that these strings are really really scratchy. The rasp the skin from your fingers. Nearly NO playing comfort at all.
I can't say, if they last long, because I ripped them from my bass early because it was too uncomforable to play them.
So... Great value for the money, if you are a really tough guy!

C
Can't beat theese
Christian5194 13.01.2014
The Warwick 42200M Red Label bass strings are fantastic. I bought theese for a setup on a bass I was going to sell, mainly because they were cheap/affordable. What I didn't expect was that they were fantastic strings. They were punchy, clear, rich and defined right our of the box, slapping has NEVER sounded so good before, and single note work was rich and full and when you dug in with a pick they growled and snarled just like you'd want them to.

If you're thinking about buying a set of theese, do it! They are great and will last you a long time. If you ever feel that they could sound a little more fresh, just take them off, put them in boiling water for a few seconds at a time, and slap them on again.. Like new!
