I would look for something else

I own Warwick Vampyre SN 5 since 2006, and of course i played warwick strings countless times. These strings don't last, like many other budget sets. But these very strings have one major flaw: they are harsh and have sharp spiral grip wounding at the machines. Literally scratches paint off to metal. Little fun if you have 1-2-5-10K Euro bass. This issue is the same for Black-Label also, and probably all Warwick strings.

Cant go wrong for the price

Fitted these to a SR Ibanez 5 string that I own. After trying many different expensive string sets I decided it was time to budget as I dont really play the Ibanez much anymore . I saw these on Thomann for a very good price and thought I would try them out , didn't have anything to lose I thought .
Anyway I have been very happy with them , I particularly like the guage on the low B string . Being pretty thick does make a difference, especially since my Ibanez is a 34 inch scale 5 string. It means the B doesn't feel too floppy which is great .
The feel is quite nice for steel strings, smoother than you would expect. I would recommend these as a budget string and at this price I would definitely be buying more sets soon from Thomann !

once bitten.

not a bad price and not a bad set of strings..
great under finger pretty well balanced tension.
E string became dead sounding pretty quickly, even after the good old boil in the pan trick...
didn't get a chance to practice with them as I fitted the set just before I stripped out and modified the bass..
if you change every session they'll do the job.. :-(

Very good!

I use these strings on my bass for when I am doing recordings. I like the tone it gives the bass.
The strings are very responsive and have a lovely sound to it, they are also fairly cheap for bass strings which is always a plus for me!

Been using these a couple of months now. Sound nice and bright, feel nice under finger and feel like they'll hold up to a lot of playing

My favorite strings out there

As I said in my other review, they're the strings I use the most. I prefer changing them monthly as they won't last long. But at this price you can have 3 sets for 1 set of DRs.

Nice Cheep Strings
Ivtcho 05.02.2018
Nice strings. At first little bit harsh on your fingers, but after a while they are ok. I can recommend this product for a cheep solution.
