ok if you absolutly need to practic in silence
lost beginner 19.12.2021
the idea is great but the finish feels a bit cheap and it didn't take long before I started getting some interference noise, I can live with it the few times I absolutely just need my bass playing fix in silence, but I wouldn't have minded paying a little bit more and get a better quality product that I would happily use,
it can absolutely be used instead of a micro amplifier in your hotel room on tur where you just need to freshen up a new ad on to the set, but if it failed like mine after just a few weeks of not that much use, you won't be able to stand using it for hours practising because of the constant noise from cheap connections, soldering, components or whatever that makes that noise

Value for money is not in its favour.
Damiano71 11.04.2021
- Noisy sound.
- Poor build quality.
- Value for money is not in its favour.
- The only plus point is its portability: Lightweight and pocket-sized.

The three built-in rhythms are virtually unusable with zero control other than volume. Here's a missed opportunity to include a basic metronome!

Ideal for practicing with headphones and always carry it in your pocket but, be careful not to break it, it is of fragile construction... with €30 more you can buy a small, cheap amplifier and if necessary still use headphones.

This product leaves me a bit disappointed

Use a small mixer
PMsAM 22.12.2022
The idea is interesting that sure but the product isn't meeting the expectations. It is light, compact but ... Plastic, ready to break, does not sound great, controls are bad, rythme big and effects are useless etc. In the end I don't use it, I will return it.

Plug you bass in a mini mixing desk, that will be better.

Good but so noisy
Encloude 05.03.2020
I would personally say that the product is a bit overrated.
It's okay overall but so noisy.
I also have 'Vox Amplug 2 AC30' for my guitar. The AC30 is significantly better in terms of noise.
In general good for silent practicing during late evenings or nights. But if you can plug in your headphones to you combo and amp - do that and don't spend money to this tiny amp.

It's ok
Allar 09.05.2019
It's an okay little device for practicing your bass on the go. However, do not except anything spectacular.

I bought this amp couple of years ago to practice my bass with headphones at home, but quickly switched to an audio interface at home, because of the sound quality. So now i use Vox when traveling and i can't bring anything better with me.

I ran that amp with different headphones - Sony MDR-7506, Audio-Technica ATH-M50X, couple of random earplugs. The best results so far were with ATH-M50X, Sony's expose all the hiss and aren't really usable with Vox. It's probably because this little device is just not able to drive Sony's (64? ohms). So the right headphones are critical with this amp.

Featurewise, i basically use the most plain settings - no overdrive, a bit of gain and bit of tone. Rhythm section is a fixed list and with no way to set the tempo. So pretty useless. However, you can compensate that with your phone, rhythm app and aux in.

Overall, it's okay to have it, but if you're looking for better sound and mobility, check out Phil Jone's Bighead.

Expected better, still decent though
Gruzman 07.12.2017
While this little tool is most of the things people say it is (fun, easy to use, convenient, your best friend for practising at night) I believe it's quality is a bit overrated: there's a LOT of noise, max volume is not that high.

UPDATE: it went kaput after some months of home-only use.

It does its job!
Dexterlite 05.05.2021
I think it is OK as a compact amp for BASS (the best one I came across). However, it only sounds OK and the plastic seems cheap.

It works i guess
Luuk143 07.04.2021
-- Kinda noisy, kinda flimsy, low build quality
+++ very small and light
+ tone control and backing tracks (built in and aux)
Amplification is very important when practicing bass, and this is the only amp that lets you walk around jamming with your headphones on, it's a shame they didn't put a bit more effort into it.

Works but...
am97 03.11.2020
The item does what's supposed to, but the overall quality is not very good. Sound is noisy and not very clear. The potentiometers also dont feel very smooth and produces some noise on the output when they are turned.
