Great design, poorly made
This stand does everything I need it too. Very well designed, easy to use, heavy but manageable. The downside is that it's not at all robust and even taking it out of the bag the first time that plastic carry handle of the stand snapped off in my hand. Not a big deal, and certainly not worth returning the thing to Germany for. Then the thread on the mic stand went smooth, within 7 or 8 shows. Then two of the legs disappeared inside the body of the stand as their spring-loaded pins fell out. It's still useable but I have shake the stand around til the legs align and drop out. The cable clips on the vertical main 'leg' broke on their first use too - just very low grade plastic.
I should add that for the first 6 months I had the stand it remained in one venue where I had a residency, so I was treated carefully and wasn't being thrown in the back of a van etc.
So I would love this stand if it was made with better materials and to a higher standard. I still have mine and I still use it, but it's become a real pain to assemble and pack away now.

The best keyboard stand I've owned
I've been through various setups over the years of being a gigging keys player. Overall this is by far the best!
Infinitely adjustable height on both levels included with this product, and more levels can be added if needed(but can't be stored internally)
It folds down very neatly, and with the built in cable management even a large setup can look tidy on stage rather than spaghetti junction which results from most other keyboard stands.
I mostly use this with my Nord Stage 2 76 and while most people who see it worry about stability I can say this does better than it looks, my only warning is make sure you put down the front foot firmly(as per instructions) as this is the only thing which stops the stand falling forwards from a small bump.
4 stars for quality due to the carry bag supplied. Only 1 year on and not moving it every week the bag already has a few holes from the microphone mount, and the shoulder strap connection points. A little disappointing from an otherwise excellent product.
If you have a multiple keyboard setup, or you sing and play this is the stand for you.

Stand works fine but the mic adaptor is a screw and tighten. After a few gigs the threads on the mic arm and stand were worn and I had to abandon that feature. The gig bag has a rip at the top from the same nut pushing against it. Aside from that the arms work fine, it holds an 88 key on the bottom and a 61 on top no probs. No wobble. But I am very careful with it because I don't think it can withstand vigorous road use.
I will ask about a repair as its still in warranty but the design will cause problems again I'm sure, the threads will wear again in time. At 200e I expected a better quality product and overall I wouldn't recommend it.

Solid Professional Stand
This stand is perfect for any keyboard player. It packs away in a carry case and takes around 10 seconds to erect. The stability of this stand is brilliant and the design means there is lots of foot space on the floor for pedals. All cables are channeled up the stand neatly hidden from view. The keyboard support arms pack nicely inside of the stand for storage. Once you put your keyboards on this stand your audience's vision will be drawn from your guitar player to your slick looking stand complimenting your keyboards! Finished with a jet black coating the stand is ideal for high profile conference events.

manufacture
Screws heads are chewed up through not using the correct screwdriver in manufacture,& swarf (chards of metal bits falling out from inside the stand-evidentally not cleaned out after manufacture)other than that quite satisfied once i have renewed the damaged screws.

Fantastic stand but the case is not strong enough
This is the best keyboard stand by far. It can hold heavier keyboards as well. Most pro bands and concerts all use this stand. It's not cheap though.
However the Zip of the case broke after few weeks. And those cases are not cheap either. You can't send it back because it's the ZIP which is broken. I know that we were careful with that case but it still broke

APEX Ultimate Stand
I previously bought the old APEX about 12 years ago. I still have and it stood the test of time. About 3 years ago I bought the new version and it isn't a patch on the original. Had problems with it and sent it back to Thomann twice unfortunately to be fixed. Very poor stability. It's predecessor was much better!!

Nasty but fixable things
I don't like the mic boom. It must be tightened securely. And then you can't undo it without pliers.
After the fifth concert, the handle of the stand broke. Plastic.
I bought a metal door handle for €2.59 at a building materials store. It had two holes that needed to be widened a bit. I also had to buy black spray paint for €5.99 because the handle was white.
Otherwise, the stand is not bad.

Great Product
Great product.
Simply because it does a great job.
I needed a stand that will not only look nice and trendy but can carry a number of keyboards and is practical so takes a lot less space.

Best Keyboard Stand
i m really happy with this..great value.I have this Ultimate stand for over 10 years now and still works great, hard and resistant, If you want a long lasting stand "This is it" so don't even have second thoughts about this product!this is my 2 nd AX48. They're great! Very clean uncluttered cool design. Doesn't require bolting things together.sets up in about 30 seconds. Everything is self contained making it very portable. Don't really know how it stands up to the rigors of touring, but I've never had any problems. I've owned just about every other cheaper stand out there, and these seem to be the best. Worth the extra money.i recommend to all to buy this..
