Not so much a Mute!
Used to change the tone of the sound rather than used as a mute, it comes with a small note to sand the cork down for custom fit in the bell. This does not have to be done of course it sits in the bell just fine. We went for this instead of he Dennis Wick as it claimed to have a better tone and intonation with recommendation from an orchestra. The red label indicates it is slightly larger that the standard Tom Crown Mute and it gives a warmer sound, it works for us regardless and is one of the must have mutes in the bag. All good!

Wish I bought it sooner
I don't know where to begin; I'm used to playing DW brand just because everybody I know uses those. Now I have this Tom Crown Gemini and I don't see myself using any other straight mute for a long time coming.
It fits very well so the mutes' bottom doesn't touch the trumpet bell. Response in all registers is very good. Much better pitch and control - esp. in lower register. Build quality: no complaints after a few months of usage...
They do tend to be a bit louder than I'm used to so it took a bit of adjusting when playing soft parts. All in all, worth every cent !
