The best flatwounds
Peter B 03.03.2019
Flatwounds with full, round sound with enough clearness.
Durability is great. I use the strings on my Fender JB fretless and two of my other basses; 1 short scale and 1 full-scale bass. I recommend these strings! Thomastik means quality!

Fantastic
Miguel M 25.11.2020
These strings are awesome. I use them at a Danelectro Longhorn bass for that deep and almost acoustic (in this semihollow bass) sound. They are by far the best flatwounds strings that I have used. Once I broke the G string and it was replaced with another brand and the same gauge. Nothing to do with the mellow (the best word that I can use to describe) sound of the other 3 Thomastik strings. I was waiting for the day that I could refit the instrument with all JF324. Contrary to the believe about flatwounds these don't sound dull at all. You do get all this bottom, but they also have a certain definition and subtle brightness. Totally recommended.

These are simply brilliant.
Richard6992 01.09.2014
These are the most musical, flatwound bass stings you can buy in my humble opinion. They are of course expensive...very expensive from other suppliers but actually very well priced with Thomann. These stings are not only tuneful but also relatively low tension which facilitates great expression in your playing. I personally find them less good for driving rock music not surprisingly but this is mainly due to string tension.

C
Lovely smooth bass strings
Christopher2751 30.01.2015
These strings feel classy straight out of the box and have a lovely smooth texture. They are a bit more expensive than a standard Bass string set but you get what you pay for here. I'm using them on a 60s hollow body violin bass copy and they are definitely complimentary. They allow the low fundamental frequency of the short scale bass to really poke through. They also keep everything very mellow sounding without that twangy scrape-y sound you often get from bass strings.
These strings are particularly suited to anyone who plays jazz or acoustic music. In conjunction with a hollow body bass you get that instant "plunky" Beach Boys style 60s bass sound.
Lovely.

Just great
Winnetou 06.01.2017
If you're looking for a great thump from your bass without much top end, this is for you. Warm, vintage, woody tones.
My wife uses the same set for 9 years on an Epiphone Viola, and still sounds great.
Very low tension, makes long time playing easy.
Great for bands with acoustic instruments, but also finds its way between the kick and the snare if has to.
Highly recommended!

Excellent flats
TedManz 15.05.2013
Best flat strings I've played. These are short/medium scale, and the E string is very chunky. Great sound and feel, I wouldn't play anything else on my Fender P Bass (32 inch scale).
