I ordered this service when I ordered a guitar which was a gift for me from my wife for a significant birthday. Since the service says it is set-up to your personal preference, I assumed someone would reach out to me to ask me what my preference would be but nothing came. Finally someone replied to my enquiry, told me the work had already been done and it was too late to change. As it turns out, it wasn't quite how I would like it so whilst the frets are nice and level and shiny, I will need to have a further set-up done adding additional expense.
If you do take this service make sure to contact Thomann to state your preference upfront. Apparently new strings aren't included too for the price so you have to add them to your basket separately.
Overall though I'd probably just have a set-up done by a local technician instead but your mileage may vary as the saying goes.
