You'd better take some more expensive stuff
I tested it on Mac OS. The good point is that you don't need to install drivers etc. - just plug and play way, very simple. But that's all of good IMO. It does not work with Guitar Rig 5 software, the program set it as input and output device in one time and as the cable don't have any outputs obviously you don't get any sound at all. It can be used with more complicated soft as Logic or any other sequencer where you can set the in/out separately by different devices, but with that fact the simplicity of use disappears. Moreover it makes a lot of hum and noise while using distorted amp settings. So I won't recommend to buy this cheap product - better double your expenses and buy at least some Behringer interface (still not perfect but really better IMO).

Poor quality
I bought this to do some (very basic) recording on my Mac. Unfortunately the quality is extremely poor - not something you could work with - and very noticeable. I'd go for a more expensive but better quality USB next time.

Bad excuse for an audio interface!
Included Realtek chip is incredibly slow, at least with default Mac drivers (there are no others) Latency goes up to 400 ms or more. Would love the idea of simple guitar input but execution is below average.
Do not buy it,
Do not buy it,

This extremely compact device is acceptable for recording down ideas for future reference and so on. The build quality is ok, but the device picks up a lot of noise and static (I use a macbook pro with cubase 4). Because of this, the recorded material is not usable in any real project. But again, it's very compact and acceptable for making simple demos when traveling. It's also worthwhile to note that this device only has an input, and thus for a multitrack project you need to monitor and listen to the backing track using another interface (which might actually make this cable completely unnecessary).
