Sturdy, does its job reliably, could be more convenient

The universal clip is sturdy, rugged and well-built, much more so than the Ovid microphone itself! The spring is very strong, and the jaws are lined with rubber, ensuring a strong grip.

The screwable holder for the Ovid microphone is a bit annoying to use, as it consists of two parts and must be completely unscrewed to install or remove the microphone, and can only hold it at one angle. Once installed, it holds the microphone sturdily.

The jaws are very strong, but also rather small! It?s only possible to grip surfaces up to about 6mm thick with the clip.

At first I thought there was no fitted compartment for this clip in the Ovid system case, but it turns out it fits very nicely into the bottom of the rectangular cut-out where the Ovid microphone cable goes.

A little bit expensive

The lack of other types of clip like this made me buy it again.
It's very good dont get me wrong but my last one started coming loose after about 1.5/2 years.

High quality and solid hold

Very nice quality item. Holds the gooseneck of my guitar mic really well. I clip it to the bottom of the strap at the neck, then position the gooseneck over the soundhole and get a great sound that way.

Excellent use for Accordion bellows or Bodhran

I've been using a pair of these with the Ovid CC 100's on my accordion for 6 months now at regular gigs and they are holding up perfectly.

The adjustable mic grip makes positioning very easy and versatile for other instruments. I've also experimented with using this on a Bodhran and a Cajón and it works perfectly.

The microphone clamp part works well and allows for easy adjustments without letting the mic slip around.

The ovid system is crazy cheap and sounds great. The clips are fine, just handle them with care and don't tighten anything tighter than you have to and you'll be fine.

I found this stronger than the sax clip which didn't last as long. This works for multiple instruments - I just had to get the hand of inserting the microphone into the grip.

Does not work well on trumpet

It transmits all the valve noise to the mic. Other than that, great quality. But when you turn it too much, it relapses and the mic gets loose.

Well made but limited use.

This clip is well made and fits well to the Orvid system gooseneck. My only slight disappointment is that it will only open a few millimetres and this limits it only too attaching to very thin surfaces/objects. Certainly not big enough to clamp to a stand or table top. Great if they could make one with larger opening.
