Only issues with these is that they pick up a lot of stage noise so it is hard to get a clear vocal and they're a bit harsh on the top-end.
The standard MB85 is a much more versatile Mic for live applications in my experience.

Feels solid, sounds ok, handling noise not up to Beta standard, variable quality
Andy66 02.01.2019
I bought 3 of these, one is good and loud, the other two much less so, variable quality but essentially fine as a cheap mic for rehearsal room use.

A
cheap but fragile

I got this cheap mic to throw around at gigs and not care too much about it. It sounded perfectly ok, but broke quite quickly sadly even though I didn't abuse it.

B
OK Mic for the price
Ben1363 28.11.2014
Looks the part! But to my ears it sounds a little more muddy and the polar pattern seems to be much less defined than its lookalike, but at a third of the price I can cope with that. For use as a mic to leave in the rehearsal room for when the singers forget to bring their own mics, it is absolutely fine.

We've had quite a few of these mics over the years, they get taken out and abused for busking duties they hold up very well, the grille gets bent out of shape easily, but all mics of this design tend to have this problem when not treated with respect.

I'll probably be buying more of these in the future and I won't regret the decision.

A
Budget microphone, does what it says
Anonymous 17.12.2014
First of all, this is a decent microphone for its price. We use it for practice room, not for live or recording. Build quality is average, but I wouldn't trust it to fall on a hard floor. Biggest disappointment is the missing off button, which can be a pain in cases of feedback. Sound quality is ok for what we need it for.

It is not a mic for vocals recording if you are aiming for a semi-professional result.
