don't buy it (or buy it instead of blank plain panel)
lukaszzz 02.01.2021
almost like the pro gear almost no one knows what it does except a small group of geeks; but with this one there is no such group; or a group of peaple fancying blinking light;
it is a waste of money; it looks good, like any other, many leds changing into the rythm, but what does it measure? no one knows; and you can't scale this thing (you have the pots but it is pointless);
but the price for the steel 1U box with a lot of leds is really good - comparable only to blank panels in price/look ratio ;)

Inaccurate.
RoadRunnersDust 06.11.2018
The scale on the front says 57dB for full-scale deflection. In reality it only takes a signal difference of about 6dB to go from nothing to all LEDs lit.
I had to build and install a calibration board inside the unit in order to make it show a true 57dB difference across the meter.
OTHERWISE, the unit is fantastic and performs its purpose brilliantly now the aforementioned issue was rectified.

Fun Light Show
ShadowOfLight 23.05.2021
The accuracy is questionable as I'm not sure what frequencies are accounted for to display the DB levels, but the overall build quality is solid. Only a couple of minor issues.
The green LEDs aren't as bright as the yellow and red ones giving it a slightly uneven lighting experience. As well, I just wish they had a way to turn off the peak level chase indicator.
Overall, a fun little unit, that sits well on top the FunGeneration RTA-31 unit that I purchased.

Good enough
Rabbitland 04.10.2019
Build quality is good, the VU METER works but it's nothing you can trust. It shows just few db and it takes a signal of few DB to go from nothing to all leds, while the scale on the front says 57dB for full-scale deflection.
For the price It's hard to get something better.
It's far to be a "needed gear" to improve your studio.

Great value and does the job well.
Badders 09.09.2023
Wanted a DBmeter to help me get my keyboard patches to a similar level to stop our sound guy complaining. And am delighted at how well this little unit does it's job. It sits in my rack and is permanently wired in, with no noticeable impact on the sound quality. V light weight and takes up 1U. When I create or change patches I can instantly see their levels. And a little bit of extra light in the rack at gigs never hurts.

Looks pretty good. Doubled up LED is kind of sus, but ok. I had to turn up the gain to get any visualization with preamp out at normal listening levels

Well made
But limited connection options to my guitar multi effects and studio monitors.
Still haven’t figured out how to connect them up……
