magnificent.
This 15 inch, 4 ohm speaker arrived and was intantly popped into it's cabinette whiich belongs to my "front sound system". This new speaker replaces a broken 8 ohm, same size speaker. it's driven by a 350 watt (rms) per side stereo power amp.
The difference in sound power (db) is amaising, sound quality too, has improved imensely.
To ballance left and right with a decibel meter, the "main out" slider driving the new speaker is now 1/4 lower than the other side wich still has an 8 ohm origional speaker.
My amplifier does recomend 4 ohms per side, I now know the difference, also, the amp runs cooler on the new speaker side.
What more could I want-maybe another 15 inch, 4 ohm speaker for the other side.

Strong sound and durable.
I bought these on a budget to load into my THAM 15's. I knew it was not an optimal purchase because a tapped horn needs a higher BL than 16.7 and a bigger Xmax than 4mm. With that said i worked out its mechanical limit to be 16mm and since i was on a budget i thought i'd go for it in the meantime.
1 year later and there still in the thams giving a solid bass down down to 40hz. Ive given them a good few 5 hour blasts and topped them out a few times and they are still going really strong and clean. Im amazed these have stood up for this challenge as its way more than they are designed for. By the time i get round to buying the RCF L15P400 these will probably still be going and useful for temporary kick bin drivers. Great job Thoman !!!

Replacement for Peavey Pro 15" Driver
This was just about the best priced replacement for a peavey pro 15" passive sub I could find. The original had a little more clarity. It's also not as efficient as the original Peavey but it's working well enough and is very well made. I'd say it was a well priced substitute.

suprisingly good. - mid/low in full range cabinets.
since it was cheap i bought it for active speaker prototype testing of diy amplifiers so i can later put better speakers and not cry if i burn this speakers. ended up using them as is as sound is nice even using simple passive xo and without bi-amping. recomended buy for sure, build quality is perfect and if i would not known of price of this speakers i would believe it is at least double.
