Nice and simple!
Archion 25.09.2021
The looper is extremely easy to use and still has a nice array of features, as it has been said, even a guitarist can use, haha.
The extra effects sound nice and although some of them can sound just a bit too gimmicky, I'm sure some of us can find a use for all of them.
The only reason I lowered my rating was that the midi sync can be a bit finnicky, especially when it comes to start and stop messages from an external device. Of course you can manually start and stop your loops and it works fine in this case, but you just have to be aware of it. Fortunately, while recording, the midi sync feature works very well.

Good looper, with one small disappointment
Koos 08.04.2021
I studied a lot on the features before buying, and it is a really goo looper for making more complex loops. and built like a tank like I expected from the Brand.
One difference with the Ditto X2 is that the volume of loop goes only to 100% . At the X2 looper, the 100% volume is at 12 oclock so to say and gives you the possibility to make the loop louder. Which i discovered I use regularly, wenn i have a bass line and some percussion on the loop (as in the song somebody that i used to know) for example) . For me this was, after a couple of months, the reason to sell the X4 again

This pedal offers many options to make looping an art form. There's sinc and serial modes, fade, tape stop, half time and double time, the dip switches on the back allow you to costumize some funtions according to your needs (Tone print editor would be perfect!). All stuff you don't get in most loopers on this price range.

I've had many loopers - all the BOSS, Akai Headrush, Line 6 DL4, and this one is the best for my needs. Not too limited, not too big, and not too expensive.
It stoped working after 2 years. I wrote to TC eletronic and they told me to send it back and it came back working as new. I got another one just in case...

What I don't like:
a) Fade mode fades too quickly
b) Tape Stop mode also stops too quickly
c) Play Once mode is quite useless because there's a Stop switch. It would be usefull if it was a start-stop switch for the selected loop, so it would be something like the stop switch on a DL4.
d) Stop switch should stop all and start all (again, like the DL4).

Good looper. I especially appreciate the MIDI in function as it allows me to synchronise the bpm with ableton or other DAW and drum computers, via an audio interface. The onboard effects are good and the looper functions as it should
