So comfortable!
This product is so much more comfortable than regular screws! I always drop my regular winged screws when unscrew my cymbals. Also these holds in place perfectly so your cymbals don’t get too loose after a few harder hits.

Useful for small cymbals only
I've used these for 18" and 20" crash/ride/china cymbals and occasionally things go flying in the air. They're OK with 16" and smaller but don't really have the grip for those heavy items. I'm a hard player, but not the hardest by any stretch. I still use the original clamps for the big items (after finding out the hard way). So, they *slightly* improve setup/takedown times, but it's minimal. I wouldn't buy them again, nor would I recommend for your full setup. I use good quality heavy duty DW stands, so they are most definitely not the issue. Be prepared to be disappointed.

I'm fast! I'm very fast!
This saved my life a few times!! No more loosing time during changeover, unscrewing and screwing on wingnuts! No more angry band members and impatient PA guys!
Holds your cymbals on your stands and let's them move freely depending on how hard your hitting.
I have mine for a while now and there is some wear and tear but they still work fine!
Must have!!!

Good but careful with the diameter
Bought them as replacement for my Mapex B200 Boom stands.
Turns out these stands are 6 mm and not 8 mm.
Kept these clamps as backup for stands that came with a Pearl Export.
They work on those.
Can hold the cymbals tight, though I haven't used them much.

I thought was famous for Metal Drummers
I bought a Tama cymbal stand that had them on as standard. One worked ok but the other kept "flying away" half way through a song. I thought it might be a quality issue and ordered a replacement but the issue is still there. I am a heavy hitter but Tama having a good reputation for Metal Drummers (at least that is the marketing I've seen), I would have expected more of them. I'm back to "normal" wing nuts now.

Effective for 90% Of My Needs
Great little clamp and great idea. I find myself using these clamps on the vast majority of my cymbals and stands (as indicated in the subject) and they do a great, sturdy job to the point where you forget they are there! As expected, very quick release and application for quick cymbal changes etc.
My only problem is that sometimes, you just need a good old wing nut as unless there is a good area to clamp onto, the Tama Cymbal Mate isn't going to hold as strong as traditional methods.
All in all, worth a go, especially considering the price!

Quick and easy
Just press the red buttons simultaneously, put it over the end of the cymbal bracket and release the red buttons. No more troubles with screwing the wing nuts, this is the easiest and quickest solution! These cymbal mates may be more expensive, but trust me, especially after a show you're happy you use them.

User friendly accessory
These little additions to my drum hardware accessories box are excellent. I purchased a set to use with all of my cymbal stands and additional booms, not because there is anything wrong with the standard Tama cymbal caps, but because in a live situation where it's necessary to remove your cymbals quickly to make way for another drummer's set up, these are really handy. Quality red button action! Just remember to take them with you after the gig if they're not attached to your cymbal stands!
