I’m getting on in years and wanted to reduce the weight of my hardware. However, when compared with my existing double braced snare stand, there’s very little difference in weight with the Tama Classic. I also found that the cradle was a bit fiddly when securing the drum, and the stand didn’t seem particularly stable with my 13x 6.5 snare. I do t sit that high either. So overall, a bit disappointing.
