Superlux HD-330

I ordered the Superlux HD330 and another two headphones (TDJ1000 and Sony MDR7506) so my review will be based on comparing these 3 headphones.
Bass - All of them have good bass but the best for bass would be TDJ1000 and what is best from the HD330? they don't sound like if they are inside a box, they deliver more of a balanced open sound yet still powerful bass.
High Frequencies - Last place TDJ1000 , second place Superlux, first place Sony.
Confort - Superlux! extremely comfortable and my ears completely fit inside the headphones. They are semi open back but noise isolation is good enough to enjoy music.
Cons - The Superlux HD330 fault is the cable, yes it is supposed to be long and coiled, but it is extremely tight and not comfortable to expand.
I tested these headphones on a MacBook Pro, on a Roland FA08 and a Roland Octapad.
Results =
MacBook Pro, listening music, honestly amazing, and for such price it is simply wow! in this case the cable length is not a problem at all.
Roland FA08 and Roland Octapad, so when using these headphones on these instruments (a piano and a percussion pad) the cable length is very important for the confort.
On the FA08 the headphones cable passes in front of my chest and disturbs my hands. On the Octapad disturbs me to play the snare drum. Besides the cable being too tight in both cases. If not because of this short cable, then these headphones would be unstoppable.
Quality - feels great, metal construction, sound can easily compete vs 4 times more expensive headphones.
The Jack adaptor is screw type, this is great, so the jack adaptor does not get stuck in your instrument.

The HD-330's sound incredible. Deep bass and clear treble without overwhelming the mids but not without some sibilance. I recommend placing 2 sheets of toilet paper in front of the diaphragm, under the foam. This will tame the treble if the sibilance is too much for you. The semi open design confines them to home usage and the sound leaks out quite a bit but it offers a wide soundstage that you will only find in much more expensive headphones. Be careful when choosing these : their high impedance can make them sound terrible on some devices such as laptops or phones.
The build quality is great. The plastic feels solid and the headband is made of metal all the way through so you can bend it as much as you want to adjust the clamp.
Looks wise it shares some design elements with beyerdynamic headsets but this particular model still looks quite unique. It is however compatible with beyerdynamic parts. It sports a very professional look and the blue accents make it look quite nice in real life.
The only downside are the pads which should be replaced with AKG 240 Pleather pads for comfort and sound quality.

For this price range I get the sound I like during my pretentious, high fidelity, music listening hours, such as motörhead.

I like the sound, they seem durable, don't hurt my ears (yea, my ears are weird and sensible, love them tho), and they fit my head quite nicely. But I won't lie these tiny exposed cables look veeeery sensitive.
I wish the cable with the stereo jack was a little longer but you can easily get an extended one.
Even tho the plastic box looks cheap it is useful to carry your 'phones in a bag without worrying something will happen. Also, you can carry other fragile stuff in it.

Yes I do recommend these headphones for music appreciation (in my case röck and metal), they are work fine for gaming.

P.S. Do I have to point the price for these things? You really have to do an overkill job to beat these within that price range.

Pro's-

Sound is warm and airy and lows are perfect not too much or too little... But after breaking in.... the mids seem to have opened up and are a lot louder and the bass isnt as woolly its a lot more punchy the highs are well reproduced and are not piercing/not fun to listen to Unlike the stock 681's and others... these headphones make me wow at the sound... for this price.. they are a steal.

These cans are pretty comfortable some reviews said the stock ear pads are quite stiff but i have found them to be fine and i can wear these headphones for hours with no problem they can adjust a lot and fit on my big head fine... lol The headband can be feel a bit hard/presses down a lot but other then that they are fine for me.

Cons-
Cable claims to be a 3m curly cable but is hard to stretch so i just used an extension... You could rewire them but i dont see the point.....

.Also dont buy if you dont have a pre amp as they will be pretty quite... i have them pre amped with my ASUS dgx soundcard and they sound amazing... best superlux headphones i have heard they are a lot clearer then the superlux 681 evo and sound more balanced then the superlux 685's... (one of my favourite headphones..) in this price range.. Even my brother who swears by his headphones listened to them and asked me to order him a pair... he was wowed by them.

Of course these are not to be compared to Beyerdynamics even though they mimic the look (and parts may be interchangeable externally). Cheap plastic smell (which goes away) and coiled cable that prefers to stay coiled (I use an extension instead). Comfortable fit (nice and tight!).
Sound for bass is excellent, maybe a little muddy but if you like bass you'll like these. Highs are good too but still warmed. Mids are what people call "recessed" but for some music that's how it should be!
Pad swaps help - so far only swapped pads, not foam in front or behind drivers. Original AKG K240Mk2 pleather pads evened the sound range but original Beyerdynamic EDT 770 V(elour) seem to smooth everything even more (and are so comfortable and double the value of the headphones!).
There are many headphones four or five times as costly which provide worse listening experience.
