I can't give this keyboard more than a single star
I read some good review, but apparently there's a batch of these that are just not up to par.
First and foremost issues is that the keys play extreme heavy. It takes considerable force to play on this keyboard when compared to a Yamaha GHS or Roland PHA-4 keybed. This would have been enough of a reason to return it. But wait, there's more.
Midi-over-USB worked, but I could not get the supplied SL Edit program to connect to the keyboard. I tried different cables, including ones I use with other keyboards and my DAC. Nothing. When you then look over the Studiologic site you notice a firmware upgrade that may be a solution to your trouble.
Well, the firmware update from SL Edit does start. It clears out the old firmware. And then nothing. You end up with a bricked keyboard.
Luckily Thomann provides excellent customer service and this piece of equipment was quickly returned.
