I purchased it as a sample to test if it would fit as a curtain in my home studio or as a fabric to cover rockwool panels.

Unfortunately, it didn't have the quality that I was looking for. It wasn't as good as I though after checking the images.

Additionally, it had a strange smell. I tried to wash it, but the smell remained. Also, the fabric was destroyed on the edges after the washing.

I would recommend it for an open live stage, but not for studio use.

I use it as a curtain, I have it ruffled so it would serve better as a diffusing surface as well (I'm not an expert on these sort of things, it just seemed like a good idea). I didn't expect it to block the sound because there is an air gap between the curtain and the wall and the curtain is not so thick anyway, but I think it does help with the acoustics of the room a bit.

A customer said it has a weird smell in one of the former reviews, I must say I didn't get the same impression. If you stick your nose in it you will certainly feel it, but I cannot say that it changed the smell in the room to the degree that it would make me particularly notice it and if I did I would just wash it.

Quality of it seems good, it doesn't release fabric particles.

Affordable upgrade to rehearsal space

This was an affordable way to clean up the look of our rehearsal space. The fabric is thick enough to cover just about anything and block out light. We covered up our old nasty carpets on the walls and this is definitely a nicer look. The dark grey color isn't all that dark, as you can see in the product image. It's a fairly bland color, so if you want something aesthetically more striking, I would suggest some of the more vibrant colors.

The fabric is prone to getting dirty and you have to be careful where and how you handle it if you want to keep it pristine. Creases appear somewhat easily as well.
