Twisted, but not stirred
Thick rubber on the outside, followed by wrapped layer of shielding. After which there is ANOTHER protective layer and two pairs of wires. They are not as well twisted as the picture suggests, but they are indeed twisted around each other (take four wires and twist them, you'll get the idea).
Check the website of maufacturer in case you're trying to make a balanced twisted pair out of it like I did.
Unfortunately, there were no differences compared to my previous no-name cable that came with my Samson Q2U (which I assume to be dirt cheap). But the phone test, when you put speedtest on your phone and move it closer to a mic, proved that I have to pretty much jam it into the new cable for it to start to buzz, whereas with my old one it started humming when my phone was under the table in my pocket.
Not the thing I was trying to fix, but hey, thats one problem down :)

Wonderful cable
This cable is very nice to work with, is very flexible, feels nice and is very good for preventing RF noise. Just make sure to combine the opposite wires as noted on the Sommer website for optimal performance for balanced signals (RED+WHITE & BLUE+YELLOW)

Purchased out of curiosity
This cable has an incredible bandwidth! Over a long distance it does not lose a millivolt and keeps the spectrum of the entire Audio frequency range unchanged. Excellent mechanical features, (I used the Neutrik ...) Unsurpassed combination ...

Good for most MI users
This is a cost effective cable that is similar in concept to starquad cable and a worthwhile upgrade from standard two core. However the following limitations should be noted:
The screen is not as tightly braided as some other brands and the coverage is not particularly good.
There is no cotton filler to reduce triboelectric handling noise caused by movement of insulation material over each other as the cable flexes.

Awesome cable
I love the sommer cables, top range cable material.
Would definitely recommend this to others in need for delicate spare cables such as guitar wireless pack cables.

Good cable
I bought a four metre length of this cable to recable some headphones and I found it to be fit for purpose. At a thickness of 6.5mm it would probably be too thick for most headphones, so if you want to use it for this purpose, don't forget to double check that that the cable will actually fit inside them.
The cable itself feels sturdy and has a minimal amount of noise, which is a welcome relief from the noisy stock cables on the headphones I was recabling, although because of its thickness it is noticeably heavier than the old cables,

Good cable
I use it for connect stereo mics to recorder. This cable is very handy in location stereo recording with boom. It is surprisingly flexible as 4-core.
Good high quality cable.
Recommeded.

Good quality cable.
I bought this to make up a replacement cable for my 5pin XLR mic-to-mixer cable.
In preperation, the cable is very easy to prepare for soldering and the cores are very good and receive solder quickly.
In use, the cable has a decent flexibility even when the temperature is sub zero and I have found that when coiled up it does not have the 'memory' of cheaper cables and will lie flat when straightened out again.

Using it for stereo mic
Made 50m cable for my stereo condenser mic with this cable. Cable is flexible enough and hasn't caused any noise problems.

It's cable...
...and if you put it on the table, it remains stable :-)
