Great for price, light, but some small design issues
silencio 17.12.2021
Overall it's great for that price, very light weight, les paul type guitar fits really well in it.
But, who designed that side pocket? a book with sheet music will not fit inside of it, since its corners are rounded. maybe 5 or 10 A4 format pages can fit because of that pocket design, but not many more. Forget about storing a book of sheet music there. So this rounded pocket design is limiting.
Also this case has some hard plastic patches to supposedly lay the case on the side. But it does not hold at all. it falls. So, strange design decision there as well.

Anyway, i'm not regretting the purchase. it does the job, and is more easy to carry than a hard-case

A
The PERFECT case!!!
Anonymous 26.01.2016
It was really difficult for me to find a good case for my investment (Les Paul Custom) , and as a motorcycle rider i didnt want any kind of soft gigbag (no matter how thick it could be). The SKB SC56 Uni Soft Case is the perfect combination between a hard case and a gigbag!!! And its also pretty light (compared to the original custom shop hard case). Really comfortable and secure. Just one small disadvandage: there's no cavity for the pickup selector switch on the inside of the upper lid , so you either have to unscrew it and store it in one of the many pockets, or "dig" a small hole on the foam material. Despite that , for me is a perfect 10

Very good protection, some practical issues
Denief 01.02.2020
I bought this soft case for the good protection that it provides. It is very solid, and I am pretty sure that my guitar will be safe and sound when carrying it around. It has some nice extra pockets to fit in cables, guitar stand, and some small stuff. And it is very lightweight. Minusses (for me personally) are that when you put something in the front pocket, de bag tips over when you take the guitar out. It is less stable than a hardcase, but that's a choice you have to make. To me it is a perfect light case with plenty extra space. Just for a Les Paul - I don't think anything else will fit in there...

Unique product but quality could be better
Thubbsy 20.08.2024
A very unique product that offers almost hard case-like protection, but without having to carry around that heavy Les Paul case. Being able to put it on your back is amazing.
Overall, the case is fine. My Gibson Les Paul Standard fits in there fine, although it feels a bit tight. But maybe that's a feature, not a bug. The long pocket along the neck is great and it fits a lot of stuff, but the main pocket is a bit tight, although overall acceptable.
My main issue is that after one use, the zip handle already fell off. I was able to put it back, but if it falls off again, I might have to return it. That's the only fatal flaw I see with the case, but I really hope it doesn't fall off again, because overall I really like it.
