Perfect Replacement

Bought these to replace the original saddles on the Floyd Rose Special sitting on my Schecter Super Shredder.

These saddles are simply perfect, as all Schaller product. Quite frankly not sure what else to add. Finish is perfect, they work perfectly and they are really sturdy, as they should be.

If you are looking for a replacement, this might not be the cheapest, but it is definitely an excellent one.

Great improvement for a Floyd Rose Special

One of my saddles on the FR Special of my Sun Valley Super Shredder opened a small fissure enough for the string to slide into it and not stay in place. These are heavier and better built. String changing became a bit easier since you don't have to be extremely careful with it. And I noticed tuning stability has improved considerably.

I would recommend the investment if yours is breaking or even if you want an overall improvement of your guitar.

perfect replacement

I bought this saddles to replace the Floyd rose special to my Jackson Adrian Smith sdx, it fit perfect. Its a little pricey but the material seems to be very good.

Huge improvement over floyd rose special

Bought these as well as the schaller sustain block to upgrade a floyd rose special. Great quality and a nice tone improvement as well. Ordered more to upgrade my other guitars. If you are fitting new bolts you may find they are tight. It is worth lubricating the bolts first and carefully screwing them in 2 or 3 times. It may be because of the black coating.

Improvement over zinc

They feel better under the hand, finding the right spot to mute the strings not too much, not too little, is easier. They sit a bit lower, too, which felt disconcerting first, but it proves more ergonomic after a while.

They obviously resonate better than zinc, more fine harmonics are coming out. They hold the strings with more force because the strings don't dig into that soft zinc alloy.

They are oiled everywhere when you receive them, so be very careful to wipe them in every spot with alcohol. They are cleanly machined and evenly plated in black. All the original screws from my Floyd Rose Special are fully compatible.

The zinc units had a wide range of play but these have only the minimum to allow them to move. The height gradient is good, just right for my standard 12" radius neck. Intonation was easy.

Tuning stability is the same, after any number of bends, the pitch doesn't change. So, in summary, better tone and better feel with more confidence about string locking. Because the tone changes somewhat, you have to adjust pickup height and angle, just a tad.

I wish they were less expensive for such small parts but they work great.

Exactly what I expected

Needed to replace saddles on older Schaller floyd from the 90's. These fit like a glove, no problem at all. Note to anyone interested - they are original alright, but never overtight them because they can burst.
