I'm using this with Roland's kick pedal RDH-100A and response is perfect. I slightly re-position the beater on the pad in order not to cave in as a precaution. The only downside is the noise with the RDH-100A, if you are playing it in your house. Even if I close the doors, you can hear loud beating from the other end of the house.

Nice rebound and on a rubber mat this thing really doesn't move anywhere, so solid as anything, and I'm heavy footed. For the price it's worth buying.
