Got this to replace the previous actuator which was of a really hard rubber( this actuator was original from Roland).
After a few months of use this actuator is very unresponsive
and the rubber it is made of it's probably the same as the one I had, which came from a bad batch from Roland's supplier.
It is an improvement over the one I previously had but I wouldn't recommend it,especially due to the high price for such a product.

I have my Hi-Hat Controller back!
It's back! anyone using the FD 8V high hat controller knows they fade over time, the control actuator becomes hard and inflexible you find you have to put your full body weight on it to close the hats, this little piece of rubber solves that! it takes minutes to fit, your pedal feels and acts like new. Only down side is its costly for a bit of rubber, but definitely cheaper than a new pedal.

Fixed my sloppy hat!
If you have a FD-8 hi-hat that won't give you that closed "chick" sound, this is what will fix it. Fixed mine. Takes about 5 mins to fit.

A necessary evil
The hi hat pedal on my v-drums couldn't be pressed enough to close it... after a quick search I found out that I had to change this part. Could find one in a local store, the "hacks" proposed were either non effective or extremely temporary, so I ordered it from here. Does what it's supposed to.

A nice way to repair your pedal.
My previous actuator was completely solid and I chose to give this product a try. A bit expensive and I don't know how much time I have until I've to replace it again, but definitely cheaper than a new pedal. The pedal is working again correctly, we'll see.

Consumable if you have Roland e-Drum Kit
If hi-hat pedal start to work poorly most likely it is time to change this little rubber thing. Add some cleaning and after that it is working again perfectly.

My hi-hat is as good as new!
My hi-hat had barely any response. Ordered this new actuator and now it's as good as new. Fairly easy to replace too, as there are plenty of demos on youtube.

Brilliant replacement
Old one was a tough as old boots! This one gives a smooth response. I put some vaseline/pteroleum jelly on mine too, in order to help it last.

Not solving the problem
This rubber is just a little more flexible than the original that has been in the pedal for over 10 years. Improvement is hardly noticeable, I consider this a waste of money.
