Patchbay with wireless receiver
The RockBoard MOD 4 is a proven practical solution for discerning guitarists and bassists alike, combining an ISM wireless receiver and a TRS, DC, and AC IEC patchbay in a single device. The built-in wireless technology can be used worldwide without restriction and not only delivers in terms of audio quality but also ensures a reliable wireless connection between instrument and effects. The patchbay section consolidates all the necessary connections of a pedalboard in one central access point, shortening cable paths and providing users with a better overview of their entire effects setup.
Flexible routing
All TRS connections (A-D) on the MOD 4 are wired as through connections from the front to the rear of the module courtesy of the pass-through design, enabling flexible routing of the effects pedals. This allows users to create a setup using the four-cable method, for example, which enables an amplifier's effects loop to be used and the preamp and modulation, delay, and reverb effects to be positioned at the correct point in the signal chain. The module also comes with a through-type DC and AC IEC mains connection for the multi-power supply under the board. The wireless receiver in turn is powered via an additional 9V DC socket on the back of the module.
Wireless freedom
The practical RockBoard MOD 4 module ensures that guitarists and bassists are optimally prepared for virtually every situation and makes the perfect accompaniment to any pedalboard, whether as a flexible patchbay for organising all connections and providing clear and neat cable routes to the exterior of the pedalboard, or as a wireless receiver for a cable-free performance. The patchbay and wireless sections can also be used independently of each other. Users can mount the MOD 4 in the MOD slot of almost all RockBoard pedalboards (excluding the DUO series) or remove the front panel and mount the module on or underneath the pedalboard.
About RockBoard
RockBoard is a brand belonging to Warwick Music Distribution GmbH, which is based in Markneukirchen in Germany's Vogtland region. RockBoard's range focuses on pedalboards, which are available in numerous different designs to suit any application and budget, and are complemented by an extensive range of pedalboard accessories, from slick patchbays for expanding the boards and high-quality patch cables for loss-free connection through to high-performance power adapters and the "QuickMount system" for rapid effect changes. In short, RockBoard offers virtually everything that players need to easily set up their own individual pedalboard.
High-quality wireless system
The system's true diversity reception means that the integrated wireless receiver still ensures a high degree of signal stability even under adverse conditions. The receiver operates in the globally cost and licence-free 2.4GHz ISM band and is compatible with the U2 Guitar Wireless System. The digital wireless system boasts a range of 30m (without obstacles) and a usable frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz, while the latency value of just 5ms has virtually no influence in practice, and the uncompressed 24bit/48kHz signal transmission delivers high-quality sound every time.
