Fiberskyn 26" bass drum head

I bought this head for a Bonham/Buddy Rich style.Ludwig 26x14 bass drum.
Not to play heavy rock or big band swing, it is for use with the National Symphony Orchestra!
I needed to get both a light kick bass drum sound and a pseudo orchestral bass drum sound, and buying the Fiberskyn turned out to be the perfect solution!
It sounds awesome, and with a bit of microphone help does everything required.
Very impressed.

Wir benutzen das Fiberskyn 3 von Remo auf unseren 26" Trommeln von Sonor in der Eishalle als Fanclub. Die Beanspruchung is dementsprechend groß und die Felle halten eine halbe bis dreiviertel Saison (sehr gute Qualität).

Der Klang ist nicht zu hell, aber sehr laut und ausgezeichnet!
Wir sind schon über Jahre sehr zufrieden mit diesem Fall

Ein Fiberskyn 3 Medium als Resonanzfell?

Genau das wollte ich mal herausfinden. Nachdem ich ein Weile daran herum getüfftelt hatte, kam tatsächlich ein anständiger Sound heraus. Relativ trocken aber nicht muffig. Besonders live mit Mikroabnahme war die Bass außerordentlich gut kontrollierbar. Letzten Endes musste ich aber auch mit sehr viel weniger Durchsetzungsvermögen im Proberaum leben. Doch das Experiment wars wert!
