Tried them, loved them.
Jonwbd 04.04.2022
Initially I only tried Pyramid strings because, at the price Thomann were asking, I felt that I wouldn’t be losing out by much if I didn’t like them. Now, I buy them every time I shop with Thomann.

The strings are great quality and sound excellent. I’ve never had any issues with tuning stability or breakage and find these strings to last a decent length of time.

I would recommend any musician looking for strings to consider Pyramid. I’ve never been disappointed with these strings and I’ve used them on acoustic, electric and bass.

J
Most reliable string I know.

I love trying string sets and finding a unique voice for all my instruments.
While the Pyramids never made it to be the one, they're the only one I know that always works, no matter on what Bass, and are my backup for everything. Love em, they (and their steel sibling) never felt out of place for me in years. I prefer the steels, since they cut better in the mix and last a bit longer, but the initial sound on the nickles is more fun.

One of my favourite NPS strings!
TrEr 01.09.2019
I've used these strings for many years and I like them a lot. They need to be broken for a couple of hours before they're at their best though. The G-string in particular sounds absolutely horrible out of the box. The first time I tried these strings I actually though the G-string was faulty. It's got this nasty thin metallic ringing. But give them a couple of hourse and they transform into something really nice! All the nastyness is gone and they will sound wonderful for a very long time.

I would describe their broken in sound as slightly above average bright for a nickle plated steel string. But it's not a nasty, clanky brightness like D'Addario XLs. The Pyramid NPS have a nice zing in the treble range but the midrange is very smooth and balanced. The lows are nice and tight. And they stay crisp a LOT longer than D'Addarion XLs.

Highly recommended if you're looking for the NPS sound with a bit of brightness.
