Protec M-400 Mute Bag Trumpet

Excellent value for money. Easy to carry or to attach to my gig bag. It nicely fits the complete set of big band mutes for trumpet: harmon, cup, straight, bucket & plunger.

Fits my stomvi sop case brilliantly. Get at least five mutes and various other accessories in as well. Love it.

Although this is supposed to hold 2 mutes (1 in either side of the inner partition), I've packed 5 or even 6 mutes in on a regular basis, with them sitting on top one another. Makes carrying and protecting them much, much easier. The bag is well made, with only a star off because the included name tags (as with all ProTec in my experince) are really cheap and break easily. Attaches well to other cases with a simple clip, but can destablise wheelie cases (e.g. the ProTec double).

Use this every day, I keep a Jo-Ral Bucket mute and a Denis Wick practice mute in it. The zip pocket on the front is big enough for my brushes, oils and brushes. No problems after long term use, still like new, one of my best investments.

This mute bag will carry at least 5 mutes. I can fit a humes&Berg bucket, JoRal Harmon, cup, straight and plunger mute with some space to spare. Something like a small practice mute. It also has a side pocket for other accessories. Maybe valve oil, note book and pencils etc. like the other Protec cases I have, it is well made.

I bought this mute bag to use with my protec double trumpet case. It's larger than I expected and can get 6 mutes in here if needed. Secure clasp to attach to the case and the same high quality material as the case to protect my precious mute collection!!!

I don’t find protect items to be of a very high quality but this is reflected in the price. The mute bag does as it says on the tin. I have managed to fit 5 mutes in. It is a functional bag.

I use this for my flugel mutes - though can only just squeeze the 3 mutes in here. Did a good job initially with 4-5 trumpet mutes - but have gone for the bigger trumpet mute bag. Squeezing 3 flugel mutes in here does make it a bit out of shape - but does the job.

Not much to say on this, Denis Wick mutes seem to be the standard for British brass bands. The mute is well made and can be turned into a straight mute by slipping the cup of the horn. It works well and offers a pleasing sound to a muted Cornet.

Perfect size trumpet mute bag. Can just squeeze bucket, harmon, cup, straight, plunger and fold up stand, valve oil. just right to fit on stage or in pit. Easy to carry also.
