These PJB Compact 8 speakers are truly amazing. They sound tight, punchy, really articulate with great depth. They reproduce the low B on my 5 string basses perfectly. I still can't quite believe how such small speakers sound so big!

For an 800 watt cab they are extremely compact and easy to transport particularly with the pull-up handle and trolley feature.

Having ferrite magnets the Piranha speakers are not as light as the Neo (ceramic magnet speaker) PJB cabs, but at 100 watt per driver they are twice the power and I think I prefer the sound of these to my Phil Jones Neo cabs. They are good value and very well built.

I have used this cab with a variety of top end and budget basses and it faithfully reproduces the sound of the bass (and the nuances of your playing!). Great for recording, studio, rehearsal and most importantly for me, live work. The bass cuts through the mix really well with no colouration or mudiness

I was so impressed with this cab I bought a second one to have a very small but awesome rig.

Thomann packaging, delivery and service excellent as always.

Well, what is it? There is no perfect speaker for everyone. Everybody has its own taste. My top is Ampeg SVT-410HE, so I was looking for something like this but less heavy. So i bought Piranha and .. twice i was about to send that Piranha back to thomann.

However, just after two gigs I could finally realize the wealth of Phil Jones Piranha. It is not soft and tender like Ampeg but it is more aggressive and fast, fast like a transitory amp comparing with tube one.

If you are funking or your popping - that box is for you. Even if you play blues or rocking it still does the job.

It has almost no low humy sounds whenever you are in full low tone with your bass.

It is loud enough, even size is not huge. and you still have bass even you do not play lound. That is also important!

So, it takes time to get to use but be careful after it, you may really not accept all other speakers. That had happed to me after 6 months of using it :)

Super compact bass explosion in a box.

What a wonderful piece of very high quality equipment!

The sound and clarity I achieved was equally comparable to my 4x10 high end cabinet.

If you're short on space or motivation to lug heavy large equipment around, this is not only a very stylish, but super portable and efficient way to get your bass heard.

It's very solidly built. I know it will last, and I love it.

Really love this little cab small footprint and when combined with a C4 becomes a killer little stack. I would buy it again if it got stolen.
