Various manufacturers offer these hearing systems, which consistently stand out for significantly better sound performance and high dynamics.
Universal multi-way in-ear system
In these hearing systems, similar to a passive 2-way speaker box, 2 drivers (bass and mid/high) are used with a passive crossover. These earpieces are the right choice for demanding artists, as well as bassists and drummers. Earphones with a universal fit are also interesting for rental companies for quick supply. The earpieces are identical to those of the one-way systems.
The disadvantage of these hearing systems is that, depending on the type, they may not fit in every ear due to their size, shape, and weight. They often cause discomfort and may easily slip out of the ears. Manufacturers of these products include Shure, Voicetronic by Fischer Amps, and Hearsafe. In terms of sound performance and price, these products are very similar (starting from 600EUR). However, the realization of the housing and the corresponding fit in the ear varies greatly and should be tested accordingly. The price of these products is three to four times higher than that of a one-way system, which initially deters many customers.
