Tremolos come in various designs. When installing, it's crucial to carefully compare their design and dimensions:
Here, you need to consider and compare different string spacings, sustain block dimensions, and hole distances.
Except for a "licensed product" or OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), most of the time, if you have a 1000 Series Floyd Rose installed, the Schaller Lockmeister Tremolo should fit. According to most reviews, it works very well and stays in tune.
Kahler offers options for various guitars and basses, whether Flat Top or Archtop. Only minor routing might be necessary.
A great alternative to Bigsby without body modifications. The installation size at the stop tailpiece is 81.5mm.
Unfortunately, there's only one suitable tremolo, the Bigsby B5 for Telecaster (alternatively, Kahler with routing).
Make sure to select the right tremolo type for your guitar:
B3 for hollow-body
B5 for solid flat-top, and
B7 for archtop guitars
That being said, this is a general classification. Depending on the guitar brand, this can vary. Vibramate offers various systems for non-modified setups. In most cases they are compatible, but we strongly recommend checking first.
In case of doubt, it's best to have a guitar technician check the specific installation situation beforehand.
