I like it
Anonymous 22.06.2014
As someone who is learning upright at the moment i might not be as qualified as some of the more experienced players, but here's my opinion, i was learning the NS NXT with the tripod supplied and found it leaving me feeling a little detached from the instrument, so i got the EPS and it does make you feel like you're actually playing an upright, first thing i noticed was the weight of the instrument and being able to move the instrument into a more natural position to play, so i am now enjoying playing more now, this is my limited opinion but i'm having more fun now so for me its well worth the money

So much better than the tripod!
HCHC 28.07.2020
I've been using the endpind stand now for 2 months or something and I really love the added mobility. The feel and interaction with the bass are more smooth and organic with the endpin than with the tripod.

The endpin is constructed from steel, and heavier/sturdier than the WAV/NXT tripod.

Only problem is that the bass sometimes has the inclination to tilt, especially if you're a heavy player. For me this happened the first few weeks, but after that the rubber pad started to do its work (maybe got softer because of the weather, thereby providing more grip?).

Long story short, great addition to your NS bass

Gives me additional freedom onstage
Anonymous 15.07.2014
I enjoy playing my NS-Design CR5M bass on the standard tripod stand which was supplied with it, but it does require me to be rooted to the spot when playing.

For more energetic gigs the endpin stand enables me to move around. It is well made, perfectly balanced and fully adjustable for height.

It took me a little time to get used to supporting the bass whilst using the endpin stand. I became comfortable with supporting the bass after a few playing sessions and it became second nature.

I was initially concerned about dropping the bass as I was so used to using the tripod stand, however I need not have been as I have not dropped it so far.

Instructions would help
Tim from UK 08.09.2017
I bought this to go with a WAV 4 bass that I bought at the same time.
It does what it says and takes the bass off of the tripod that was originally supplied. The one thing for me would be the addition of some instructions as to how to "wear" the support arm. I still can't get used to it and also can't find any "how to" videos or literature. This may of be just down to me not "getting it". But, for me, that would really help.

Endpin conversion kit for NS EUB
Roger2648 11.08.2014
This is a very useful thing for the NS CR4(M) EUB. It offers freedom to "swing along" with your playing.

KE
Great end pin
Kieran E. 18.02.2024
I bought this end pin attachment for my NS upright electric bass. It’s made by NS for NS so as you can imagine it fits the instrument perfectly. I used the provided stand for a while when I bought the instrument first and it really got me off to a good start. It provided greater stability than the end pin so was great when beginning to use the bass. Once I became better at playing the instrument I realised I needed more flexibility with it and wanted to be able to change its position depending on how I was playing in the moment. This end pin gives me that flexibility. Whether I’m bowing or plucking I now have the freedom to take the bass closer to my body and feel more at one with it. If, like me, you’re beginning to play electric upright (coming from bass guitar) I would recommend using the supplied stand until you feel ready to take on the freedom of the end pin. It took me quite a while to find the optimum setting for myself but it was worth persevering with. I think I would have been deterred from playing if I’d had the end pin from the start but now I have it I couldn’t play without it!

Quite interesting feel, not the same as upright bass, but definitely better than the tripod if you are sued to upright bass
