J
Saxophone wall mount for Tenor or Alto
JamesKellerman 08.11.2020
This was a disappointing product. The whole construct smacks of cheap and not quality and I bought two of them! The main criticism is the totally inadequate mount that goes on the wall. I put them onto a brick wall with 4cm long screws and the torque rotated the mounting to the point that I do not trust my instruments to still be on the wall the next morning.
The wall mounting needs to be much larger to resist the turning force of a Tenor Sax and I will be remounting them onto wood bases with bolts through the wood base and a much larger area to support on the wall.
Go back to the design board. This is not a good product

Useless and poor quality
Tentralus 16.01.2024
I bought this wall mount to put my tenor sax into it. But I would not dare to put my sax in it again.

The product has 3 main issues:
First of all it comes without screws etc. I can live with that because I have everything at home. But I do think that screws are a service that is "usual" today.
Second, the wall mount has a non-functional mounting system. The place where you are supposed to put your screws through has an empty space behind it. This leads to the ionteresting fact that any dowel you put in the wall, will come out of the wall again, through the leverage effect of you screwing in the screw. There was no real way I could fixate the wall mount properly.
Third but not least, the weald seam is crap. It literally broke the instance I put my sax into it. Fun fact, I atleast was able to fixate the wall mount, because that part still was on the wall after the other part broke off.
So not only poor qualitiy, it literally is the reason my sax has scratches and bumps now.

Saxophone in the mount is not fully stable. You have to lookout so the sax doesn't "roll" on the side, and damage itself.

Holds the saxophone on the brick wall. Looks flimsy but works.
