Male voices, something to consider
Muldor 01.10.2019
For the money this is a great table stand, but is had one major drawback: low frequency resonance in combination with a Shure SM7B.

When you touch it, or move something around on the table it's attached to the MA-2050 will produce a very audible +/- 30 Hz tone. This is off course also due to the weight of the Shure SM7B, not the smallest or most anorexic microphone. But it's a bit useless for me in this situation since my voice (over) sounds unacceptable thin when a high-pass filter successfully counters the effect of the resonating MA-2500.

I won't send it back, for the money it's an excellent stand that I could use for other purposes; but for the recording of a deep male speaking voice with the most commonly used dynamic microphone (that needs a whopping 60 dB's of amplification) this stand cannot be used without steep high-pass filtering.

Something that could have been noticed during the design process I guess, but again, at such a bargain... Maybe some elastic bands will dampen the effect, but I need something hassle-free..

Pros: Price & cable, brainless bargain.
Cons: Zhooooooooommmmmmmm.... when touched..

Ok for the money
Tateos 04.04.2020
I am recommending to invest twice more but buy better quality product.
Тhe creaking of the springs is terrible. Springs are touching metal shoulder parts and are creating terrible noise. It handles good.
I am buying Blue Compass.

Good arm, but some build quality issues
NewPinky 29.12.2019
First of all, theres no easy way to remove the cable that comes with the mic arm, and the joints at the top of the arm, where the microphone gets attached are pretty weak. Its ok for this price, but i expected better.

Microphone Arm.
Johnny Silverhand 12.07.2020
Used it for streaming, and other of the sort.

It did its job, you get what you pay for the amount of money, if you're someone who does extensive work behind the microphone this might not be it.

Its quite stiff, the screwing is cheap plastic, sometimes It just sled off the edge of the table unfortunately. And the squeeling of the metal in between can get pretty annoying.

Otherwise if you just plan on using it here and there for talking, set it up to an angle and you're good .

Very useful

Have this set up with a talkback mic in my home studio as its easy to push and pull out of the way when needed. Its quite springy and sometimes disappears when I'm using it - too much hassle to screw it tight if just mentioning a few bits on talkback. Nonetheless, my studio experience would be slower without it!
